i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;
and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet) i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

WATCH 'IN HER SHOES'! lurvving that show. This poem is gotten from the show as well. Touching, and warm to her heart. (:

In A Land of Pineapple Tarts.

Chinese New Year is just round the corner (yayness!), and at this time of the year, I'd be camping at my Ah Ma's place, baking and baking.

Let me tell you a true story about my Ah Ma okay? This grandma of mine is suuuperb at cooking and making these kueh-s, snacks and desserts etc. When we were in primary school, we would usually have annual food fairs every year. These food fairs were meant for the school's fund raising project, so all the money earned from the fair would be donated to the school. Coincidentally, the food fairs were always a week or so before the lunar new year, so my Ah Ma would be preparing loads of these CNY goodies for the school and also for our family!

So, on every food fair, teachers never fail to swarm to our booth to order bottles, or rather gongs of pineapple tarts. I remember having to jot down how many containers of tarts which teachers want even before the food fair, then bring that piece of paper back home to tell my gramma about it. So, my Ah Ma would start preparing all the tarts for everyone. According to my grandma just today, she remembers having to do almost thousands of these little tarts every year. Gees! I wonder how much we could earn from that if we sell those tarts!

My grandma not only makes these pineapple tarts, she used to make love letters, kueh bulu, kueh bancake (the whitish sweet things) every CNY. Sigh, unfortunately, due to old age, my uncles and aunties don't allow her to do such hard work anymore.. SOOO...

Jessica Cheung to the rescue!!!!

OMG, that's super lame.

Anyway! Today I went to my grandma's place to make pineapple tarts from scratch! I've done it before, but being the forgetful one, I have to always refresh my mind every year. Since I was busy making the tarts, my hands were dirty, so I didn't quite take photos of the procedures of making the tarts. But! I still took some. Haha, enjoy!

kneading the dough! and no, that's not me. that's my ah ma's maid, minah, whose name isn't really minah. hahaha. oh well, LONG STORY. wanna hear tell me.

all done! but still uncooked.

time to get baked my lil' tarts..

in the oven you go.! you can also see my reflection.. haha. my fat legs.

the master of making pineapple tarts.. my ah ma!!! -claps hands!-

In order not to forget how to make these super delicious pineapple tarts, I recorded down the neccessary ingredients and procedures to follow! Yahooo! Wanna 偷师?(eh, are the chinese characters correct? sorry ah, chinese abit lousy now. lol.)

the recipe, written by yours truly.. hee.

Yup! My grandma is so enthusiastic until she decided to make more tomorrow! Haha! I'm in a land full of pineapple tarts.. I see loads of pineapple tarts around me...

Tomorrow's gonna be a great day! Gonna visit Ben @ SGH with lr. min and then meet joan and shuo after that! Life's great. (:

P.S. I would like to sincerely thank Benjamin Liu for being the dictionary for today's post. You're so very kind, sweetie.. Laugh at my English hoh?!?! You're gonna get it from me... -evil laugh-

My 6th C.

Would you feel satisfied and accomplished when you finally acheived your 5Cs? By 5Cs, I mean the Singapore's version of 5Cs - car, condo, credit card, club and cash.

If you think about it carefully, all these are just possessions that will disappear one day. They are not what you own forever.

So what if you're rich? Does that make you a lovable person? Not unless your so called friends are just simply eyeing on your cash.

I don't know if you feel the same way, but if I actually get the 5Cs that so many Singaporeans want, I don't think I'll feel accomplished, yet.

There are many people in this present society who are working so hard, just to earn big bucks and live a happy life like they've always wished for. But at the end of it all, if you don't get things money can't buy, all that you've worked for is useless. One will not be able to enjoy the luxurious lifestyle with anyone who truly likes him for him.

I truly believe that the luckiest people on Earth are those who love and are loved at the same time. It is not those celebrities who can splurge money for expensive clothes and handbags who are the happiest homo sapiens on Earth.

Would you rather be poor and happy, or rich and sad? Debatable, eh? For me, I'd choose poor and happy, even though this world is all about money, money, money. The world has become so materialistic that people often give up their happiness for things they don't own for life. It's just really sad to see the people of the world trapped in this hatred filled planet.

I want happiness in my life. That's why I've added another C into 5Cs to make it 6Cs as a target for my life accomplishment. The last C stands for Christ. I would want our Lord Jesus Christ to be proud of me, proud to see me living my life to the fullest, living each day with a purpose. Jesus loves me, I love Jesus. Actually, even if I don't get all the other 5Cs, my life would already be complete. Why, you ask. Because when we believe in Him, we're saved, and we get eternal lives, something we can always keep forever.

Today the 2 slackers slacked at 1 of the slackers' house!! Haha! Today I went over to Thazin's place to slack with her.. (: I haven't gone to the East (except my Ah Ma's place) for sucha long time, especially Paya Lebar, where my sec school was situated. Gosh. Even when I stepped onto the platform of the MRT station, tons of memories from sec school just came gushing back into my head. My, my. It's been 4 years since I've graduated from CCHSM. Long time, but memories still etched in my head. It's a good thing, aye? (:
We listened to music, talked about crazy things and watched DVD at her place! Whaha. After that, we decided to go jogging! Keep fit, people! Haha! Some photos at her place!

/ @ thazin's place!! / eifer cap at her bed post / won bin!! our fav! / ENDURE for exams! /
We decided to run to CCHSM, since it's quite near her place. And we went into the school for some fun! Haha, and we did! Photos photos photos!

Old & new classroom blocks. Candid shot of lr. min

wah! this bench.. antique! must take! haha
Look at my face! Like an apple... Always after running, my face turns bright pink, as if I'm damn embarrassed about something.. Whaha!
The first place we visited was our class in sec 2. Secondary 2EP (or 2Empathy). It was during this year when Ad Infinitum clique was formed! The naughtiest class.. Tsktsk. Then.. I noticed something!!

After 6 long years, the locker still has a piece of me. :D
My old locker when I was sec 2!! My form teacher then wanted us to paste our names on our lockers. And even after 6 years, my sticker is still here.. Well, a little bit of it.. SWEET! :D

MY BLABBERINGS.

  • I'm sick! Down with a flu. Yes, my nose is stuffed and I need to blow my nose every now and then. And yes, it IS disgusting to me, not just to you.
  • Mummy is back from NZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Mummy brought back TONS of chocolates from moomooland!! So, do you wanna come to my house to 拜年? Muahaha.
  • Poor Janice is alone.. But not for long.. (:
  • CHUNGIE AND QI ARE MOVING TO THEIR NEW HALL!!!! HOORAY FOR THEM!! -confetti everywhere- Let's celebrate! (chungie: no more beer, can?? teehee.)
  • I hate being sick. -.-

Recap of what happened this weekend.

I finally got a taste of my all time favourite Starbucks drink - Frappuccino Rhumba! I had it at Yishun's North Point. All the way there just for Rhumba.. Teehee.

Starbuckssss!! :D

Being so happy, I decided to take some photos of myself with the drink!

Okay, this one looks abit ahma-ish..

Okay, that's a little better. LOL. Still abit act cute huh.. Damn.

After North Point, I went back to QSC to get the purple Nike shoes for my sister. Janice, you better thank me again. Once is not enough. Haha. I was joking. Then I was looking at another pair for myself.

What do you think of this shoe?

Side view of da shoe

Not bad huh? But it didn't attract my attention right away! Which means I don't exactly LURVVV it or something. Oh well, do leave some comments! Arigato.

Just yesterday afternoon, I met up with the other 5/7 of Eifer for a spunky time at Settlers' Cafe! In case you people don't know, you can play games in this cafe, while having lunch or just a cuppa coffee. This place is really famous. We could only play for 2 hours, we didn't make reservations! But it was alright, cos our Stephie needed to leave around that time too.. Haha.

The menu! So nicee!

A group photo! If you realise, Thazin's face has been CUTTTTT. She was the photographer.

So being the crazy her, she told me to put her face BACK IN. Look at what I did.

That's 6/7 of Eifer! That extra. Hurhurhur.

We played 3 games in total. Well, all the games introduced to us were not bad, and we were as noisy as the other groups of people in the cafe. Right on, girls!

Our first game!! Something Galli!

For this Galli game, the cards have pictures of different number of different fruits. The objective of this game is to hit the bell if a certain type of fuit(s) add up to 5. No more no less.

And the games get better and better. (:

Our 2nd game!! Forgot the game, but fun!

We're supposed to throw a dice. If we get numbers 1 or 2, we are supposed to take a green stick outta the coconut tree. If numbers 3 or 4, orange, and if numbers 5 or 6, pink. Interestingly, all 6 of us didn't even throw a 1 or 2 for the whole game!! So only the green sticks were left on the coconut tree. As there are monkeys hanging on the sticks, the objective of the game is to get as few monkeys dropping outta the tree as possible, then you win. WHAHA. Xueqi and I only got 2 monkeys down, while Chungie and Stephie had... MANY. But it was still fun! Thazin and Mel got a few down.

A bird view of us playing the monkey game!

Our 3rd game! The Sequence.

In this game, we're supposed to pair up! So we paired up with the person next to us. Thazin and Stephie were in a team, and they're called the December babies team, Xueqi and Chungie togther, called the roomies team, and finally, Mel and I in a team! I thought what name we should give ourselves, so I called us the shortest of Eifer team!! WHAHAHAHA. 2 of us are the shortest in the group, so YEAH. WHAT? VERY FUNNY AH? Short then short lah! I'm not too bothered with my height. LOL.

In this game, each team is supposed to get 5 of their markers to form a line. The team which does it the fastest wins!

In the middle of our game.

The 3 teams! The roomies team, the shortest of Eifer team (ROFL), and the December babies! And that's Miss Scrooge Thazin.

In the end, silent killer team the roomies team won!! If you can see the game board, they (red) had the most absurd tactics EVER! Their markers were everywhere! Mel and I (blue) were the closest to victory, but we didn't win in the end.. Oh well.. Haha!

This afternoon, I finally had my nasi lemak lunch at Adam Road! This stall is super famous for its nasi lemak! So I decided to try it for once.

Selera Rasa Adam Road No 1 Nasi Lemak. Look at the queue, and it was only 12pm.

My $3 Chicken Wing Set nasi lemak!! WHAHA.

YUM! Actually I didn't think the nasi lemak is any different from the rest in other stores. BUT I know that their food is piping hot, which is good! Many other nasi lemak stores usually give cold eggs and chicken wings to us, which isn't as shiok as this store. Yay!

Yup, sorta recap of this weekend!

Oh, Janice! I forgot to give you this photo! It's a photo of you waving to us when you left us for NZ. Awww. Anyway, this one's for you! Enjoy! :D

Janice waving goodbye to everyone at the other side of the departure gate.

That's it for today! ;)

Student ID for 2006!

Dear Otago students,

I bring to you, the student ID for the year 2006!!

Woohoo! Anyway, that's my sister, Miss Janice Cheeeung. Actually, to tell you the truth, I prefer the older IDs!!! This one is too.. Artistic, and flowery.. Not to my liking at least. Haha! A preview of student IDs of years 2004 and 2005!!

Haha! Nicer right?! Hehe, not the photos lah, but the cards themselves. Whaha. The card on top is the one I used just last year! I think it is nicer than the 2004 ID. :) Just a pleasant surprise for Otago students! Enjoy. (not my sis's face)

New flooble chatterbox!

Yup, as you can see on the RHS of the screen just under my profile, I've added my chatterbox there! It's been gone for so long and my account was deleted. Haha.

Oh well! AS EXPECTED, it rained again today. What is wrong with the weather..?! But this ain't gonna stop me from going out. No no no.

Later, I'd be popping by North Point for FUN and also for my FRAPPUCCINO RHUMBA. Actually, the main reason why I'm going there is because that's the CLOSEST place to my house that has Starbucks. So! I'm gonna shop there for a while, before heading back to QSC again! Well, Janice has showed immense interest in the purple shoes (which I think is gorgeous too), so I'm going back there to try on. If it really suits me, and if i really like it, I may even keep it for myself!

MUAHAHAHAHA!

Oh well, she'll just have to pray that I'd find an even better pair.

After QSC, I'd take bus service 33 to Outram Park MRT station to meet my boyboy AH BEN. This guy's going to Sarawak for the weekendddddd. ): Noooooo, weekend without him... ): Probably have dinner with him too! Hehe.

Oh well, my trip's set and off I go!!

-poof~!*-

ANOTHER INTERESTING DAY.

This morning, Jessica woke up at 7am, even before the sun rose.

Why? This girl couldn't sleep last night, and finally slept at about 2am. But why would she wake up so early?

Because.. She got hungry, and got up to makan (eat in Malay).. Makan what, you say? Makan waffles!!

Very yummy, she says. Then after 1 episode of Full House, she felt something was wrong with her tummy.. And she LS-ed (lao sa*-ed). That poor girl!! What on earth has she done to encounter such injustice?! LS 2 days in a row?! Cannot be right!?!

Jessica thinks it's the biscuits she has snacked on for 2 days. But.. but.. Lyn (her maid) just opened a new packet of Marie biscuits!! That's impossible!!

Well, no matter what, she still managed to survive.. So she web-cammed with her sister (Janice) and Ah Bu (mother in Hokkien) for awhile.

Print screen of sick and tired Jessica..

While web camming, Jessica was surfing the net, looking for the pair of shoes she's dying to buy.

Yes, she longs for these...

And definitely this..

So, she decided to go to Queensway Shopping Centre to try her luck, even though many shop assistants at Nike stores told her the bag is SOLD OUT in the whole of Singapore, and the shoes don't EXIST in Singapore.

Being giam-siap (stingy in Hokkien), Jessica decided to take bus to Queensway, without spending on cab fares.

In order to get to Queensway Shopping Centre, she had to take bus service 852 to any bus stop after the one after McRitchie Reservoir, so she stopped a few stops after McRitchie.. And ended up...

IN FRONT OF BUKIT BROWN CEMETERY.

O M G

Number 1: She didn't know how on earth she landed there
Number 2: There were so many ANTS crawling on the seats and ground!!!
Number 3: There was NOONE there except her!!!

But, being a brave girl, Jessica didn't even bother where she was. The bus stop was right before PIE expressway, so there were many vehicles passing by. She was listening to her iPod mini all along, and realised that noone could hear her sing no matter how loud she sang! Soooo, she was singing on top of her voice, at the bus stop, in front of Bukit Brown Cemetery.

Then, she realised she MIGHT wake the dead up, so she decided to diam (keep quiet in Malay) just be a good girl and listen to her iPod mini. By then, bus service 93 arrives!! Off to Queensway Shopping Centre!!

At bus stop near BUKIT BROWN CEMETERY.. Wooo~ Nothing there that's not supposed to be there.. RIGHT?!

OHOHOH! And she found something at the bus stop!!

When was this law implemented?

This is so weird...

15 minutes later, she's IN QSC!!! Shopped and shopped and she chanced upon..

Her very own sport shoes which was bought 2 freaking years ago!!

Her sport shoes still on sale!! at $74! WOOO!

Oh, and she found this pair of shoes in SO many of the stores.. Gees.

So off she went anticipating to find the NICEST pair of shoes in QSC.

Saw some pretty ones! But cannot decide which suits her best..

Shopping halfway, Jessica felt hungry. So, she got 3 kueh tutu-s for $1! 1st time tasting kueh tutu ever since she came back! She was GRINNING FROM EAR TO EAR. That retard.

YUM! finally, her kueh tutu-s!

CLOSE UP of her kueh tutu!

Despite walking around for about an hour, she couldn't find the PERFECT pair of shoes, so she decided to leave QSC.. She took bus service 33 to Bugis!! At this time, she felt.. SO LETHARGIC, due to the lack of sleep! So, she went to Coffee Bean for a drink to wake herself up!!

Her ice blended mocha with her Shopaholic and Sister book.. to PERK HER UP for SHOPPING!

While shopping, she felt that her heels were brushing against the back of her shoes. She realised that she got a BLISTER on her left heel! EEEEEKS!!!!!

This pair of shoes is giving her blisters.. finally..

SO! She decided to buy a new pair of slippers! Now, she saw these 2 pretty cute pairs of slippers, and took the excuse of having blisters to get a new pair!! MUAHAHA.

Hmm.. Both look good on her leh..

But decided on this in the end! =D

YAY!! Mickey Mouse slippers for herself!! Yahooo!

Then she bought another REALLY REALLY REALLY nice necklace for herself!! OMG, how dare she not take a photo of it!?!

Anyway, after the shopping, she rushed to BOON LAY to meet her dearest Chungie and Qi for dinner at Crystal Jade Ramen Restaurant!

YUMMY!!!! Just that her beef brisket ramen had too much beef fats that she just felt grossed out.

PHEW! Well, day's not over yet.. While walking home after sucha LONGGG day, the sky was POURING rain down on poor Jess!! She had to open her pink Hello Kitty umbrella to shield herself from dissolving! But no.. The rain didn't let her off.. It kept pouring until there was no use of the umbrella! Her new Mickey Mouse slippers she was wearing right after buying it went 'SQUISH SQUISH SQUISH', all the way home...

What a day!

*******************************

I wanna finish my 'it started with a kiss' drama!! NOW!!

OUT!
