To my buddy, Nien

I was really really lightened up after the chat we had half an hour ago. It's so nice to hear that you're doing well and you're happier than you could ever be. (:

'A happy Nien, gives a happy me'

Despite you leaving NZ for almost 1 and a half years now, we never did forget each other, and I'm glad we're still able to keep in contact even though our time zones are different, our school terms are different, our sleeping times are different blahblahblah!

You're responsible for the smile I leave on my face when I sleep tonight. (:

Hope we'll really meet up at the end of the year, with your special someone. HEHEHE. :p

Break from crazy studying!

Adorable baby using a computer with sucha huge monitor screen! (or maybe he's just tiny!)

And yes! It's a Saturday and I've already studied for more than what I expected... So I can reward myself to posting one single blog post! :D

Mummy's coming on Monday!! Even though this would be the 4th time she's been here to visit us, there's no doubt about me looking forward to her arrival. -excited!- :D

Despite the exam period, my wonderful flatmate introduced to me a new anime! It's called School Rumble, and the whole anime is just so hilarious and cute!

I can't wait to watch till the end of the series! But too bad my anime-fan cousin Jac doesn't like this show!!!! Boooo. It's funny lah, Wei!! You can watch again! Trust me! The first few episodes aren't that nice, but it gets better!! Hehe.

Just got the OST for this anime too. The songs are equally kawaii ne!

The show also reminds me of all the funny courtships and puppy loves and crushes we all WOULD have back in secondary school days. AWW! I miss those days. I wouldn't even want to miss a class if I had a crush then! Haha! I feel old all of a sudden.

8 days to the big exam! Why don't I feel the STRESSSS like I had last year?!?! It's CRAZY! I can't work without stress. Gees.

Last choir song of the year

):

Today marked the last day the church choir presented a song for church service.

The song sung today was 一生呈献, and I thought we sang pretty well, except the fact that the guys sung louder than the girls. Aww.. But it was all good! :D

Sok An (our choir leader) said she is going to plan an outing for us choir members after our exams. And I quote what she said: "我们想去哪里就去哪里咯!想去 Waverly 就去 Waverly, 想去 Baldwin Street 就去咯!"

Haha! She's so cute! But I just thought why would we wanna go to Waverly?!?! Hahaha! I only know that Josh's house is there... LOL.

Looking forward to next year when we can sing as a choir again! (: 但尼丁华人卫理公会合唱团 rocks! HEHEHE.

Photo of us today. I'm 2nd from the right, and I look funny!!!! XD And Hooi Xian was blocked by Aunty Janet.. Aww..

Funny.

No, this ain't my new cell phone. Haha.

This afternoon while walking to town for lunch, I found this cell phone on the ground!

So Janice and I decided to text one of the owner's friends to try and contact her.

I texted the first message, and it went something like,

"Hey, your friend accidentally dropped her phone on e floor. Is there any way you can contact her so we can return the phone to her?"

Normal normal text. Just asking her friend to help us contact her.

A message came through.

"Hi, where's e floor? I can contact her on her other phone"

Then I thought he was asking where exactly she dropped her phone, so I said Union St blahblah.

But after that I realised that he was asking where E FLOOR is.

No, there isn't a place called E FLOOR in Dunedin.

It's just that I typed THE FLOOR in short form.

Haha. Maybe only some people uses 'e' as 'the'.

But anyway, he came in the end and got the phone back for his friend.

Funny, but a good deed done today! (:

Malam Malaysia 2006

(:

Went for Malam Malaysia 2006 last night to support my sister, OSC girls and my churchie friend Kar Wai! Janice was performing in 2 of their dances (2 out of 2 dances for the night. haha) She danced a Chinese dance with 2 pretty pink fluffy fans, and another hip hop dance which was supposed to be sexxay. Lol.

Many of the people I met last night asked me why I wasn't performing. Aww.. It's not that I didn't want to, but I really need to concentrate on my studies. Yup. I like to dance, but I thought it was time for me to really get down to my work. HAHA, as if I am. Tsk tsk.

Photos taken that night are posted here!

The 2 dances on Malam Malaysia. Spot Janice!! (abit dark tho.)

birth rates... birth rates...

I just finished (major) editting Janice's English long essay.

SERIOUSLY, the words BIRTH RATES are STUCK IN MY HEAD.

You see, her essay title goes something like "Falling rather than rising birth rates is a strong future concern for the future" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

Help! -.-

My Childhood Hobby.

NOTICE: WARNING. If you hate cute stuff or can't stand girls squealing and all, stop reading now.

I've been watching cartoons ever since I was a lil' kid.

Cartoons with lovable characters and colourful images never ever seem childish or stupid to me, because I'll just go start squealing, "THAT'S SO CUTE!!!!" or just sit there with my mouth wide open in amazement.

My top favourites when I was younger:

1) Strawberry Shortcake! CUTE!!!

2) Rainbow Brite!

Love lil' Wisp!

3) My Little Pony!

I can still remember its theme song!

4) Carebears!
All the lovely clouds and rainbows... And bears... And rabbits... And princesses...

5) Starla and the Jewel Riders!

They're the ultimate heroes!!!

6) SMURFS!!!
"Welcome to Smurfyland, welcome everyone!"

To all my cousins and sister: Do you all remember all these cartoons that we used to always watch at Ah Ma's house? :D:D:D

I really do miss those older cartoons... They're just soooo interesting and fairytale like!! I could watch cartoons all day long (unless my grandma start threatening to stuff a whole chilli into my mouth. !!) and not get bored! I'm sure if I'm given the opportunity to watch these cartoons all over again, I'll be soooo honoured!

There are many figurines of My Little Pony and Carebears being sold outside for a huge sum of money! That's because they're now not as popular among kids as they used to be. I remember walking into this cute little store at Far East Plaza (1st floor) in Singapore where I saw so many of these cuties! I wanted to get them so much, but they were kinda expensive, so I just looked at them in awe. That feeling was sour, yet wonderful, because I really do love all these cute lil' things. They just make my day, really.

When I get older, earn my own money, I want to start collecting all these older cartoon figurines and VCDS and everything! cantwaitcantwaitcantwait!! Or I should just start now!! :D:D:D You guys can help keep a lookout for me, ya?

More recent cartoons that I still watch. (:

Powerpuff girls! Bubbles is my favourite! Haha.

Kim Possible!
Spongebob Squarepants!

I heart cartoons. -smiles-

Why - Nicole Nordeman

This is a really beautiful song. Though I've been introduced to this song a couple of months ago, I still play it almost everyday.

Why by Nicole Nordeman

unearthly hour

here i am blogging at freaking 6:14am on a wednesday morning.

GOSH. have i gone mad?

hahaha. that's because i slept at 10+ last night and was woken up by my lil sis at abt 12. she kindly prepared my contact lenses case and solution so that i could take them off and go right back to sleep (ISN'T SHE SWEET!). so yeah, i decided then that i needed to finish off the rest of my respiratory module. that's why im up at this unearthly hour.

the sun is not up yet. everyone in the flat is still dreaming. im here blogging. haha.

just finished on a case of tuberculosis. haha, sounds irrelevant but i'm kinda motivating myself to continue studying.

the thing about med sch in otago is that we have so many interesting cases and labs and demonstrations and lectures! i really really honestly like otago med sch. but i also really really dislike finals. i think we med2 students have about 10 modules to finish in 18 days time?! please loh, i'm not even a quarter done!! -grumbles-

oh well, looks like i'm not the only one grumbling away.. i'm sure every uni course has got their own style of tormenting their students. what's med school doing to us may be nothing as compared to the rest of the uni students. SO! all of us should just study like some freaking muggers and just study all the way until our exams are OVER. over over over.

18 days to exams. 23 days to freeeedom. sometimes i just want to think of what to do during the hols (i've actually got plans for the hols!) and just forget about the exams. but when you just go to central library and see how saturated that crazy place is, you're gonna go 'oh crap'.

time check: 6:22am. already blogged for 8 minutes. hmm. should i go back to studying and aim to finisht the rest of the module by 9am? okay, i think i'll do that, because i have too much to cover.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! to exams!

(if you realised, i have been so lazy to even press the shift button to caps the first letter of every first word of a sentence. don't ask me how it happened. it just did)

Here are 2 of them!

PLUS this dress.. isn't it pretty?!

starBURST!

feeling all tired and sleepy and just no more energy to continue the marathon of squeezing everything into your brains?

i hear your cries, all you poor students!

presenting to you... STARBURST!

yummy and gives you the BURST of energy you need.

haha.

when you need a burst of ENERGY...

starburst delight...YUM.
(looking all tired) i recommend Starburst to you!! comes in many different shapes.. there's even a BABY version.. but it's gross to me cos i can't imagine myself gobbling up BABIES.. gross!

a moment of madness.

As all of you know, my sis has got the weirest ideas of all. This 'story' is one of hers. I was only the photographer. Oh, and the frightened passerby.

a normal Janice.

ARGH!

I hate to admit, BUT I'M TOO ATTACHED TO MY LAPTOP!!!

Seriously, I'm always online! I'm always surfing the net! I'm always blog hopping! I'm always Friendster-ing! I'm always opening and closing windows! I'm always editting my playlist of songs! I'm just using too much of my laptop.. And the exams are just sooo close I can definitely smell them.

Someone please hide my external keyboard in their cupboard and throw my mouse out of my window! I've got a whole pile of notes to looks through damn it!

-angry with myself-
