@ Indulgz Bistro + extras.

Indulge in the yummy food.. HAHA.

Clar, Qi and I!

So Clar, Qi and I met up at Indulgz Bistro for dinner! Qi and I read about this restaurant from Xiaxue's blog (okay, I'm definitely not an avid reader of her blog), so we decided to try it!

I absolutely LOVE the Tomato and Basil soup! It's really really really yummy. Qi and I couldn't stop scooping from the bowl. Hahaha. I was actually quite disappointed with the Deep-fried Camembert Cheese with Berry Compote. 3 of us thought it was too salty for us!!! I don't like salty food personally, so I only had 1 piece.

I had the Oxtail Stew! I really like the sauce with it, but after several mouthfuls I got quite sick of it.. :\ Claressa and Qi had the Butterfish Steak! In my opinion, it's very nice, because the taste of it is not too bland and not too rich, just right!

After the mains, Qi and I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake. Didn't really like the strawberry paste on top of it, too sour! When eaten with the cheesecake, the strawberry flavour covers the taste of cheese. So we just took the strawberry spread away and had the cheesecake itself. It's not too bad actually.

So, overall, I think it's quite a nice restaurant to visit. The atmosphere is ambient, and the place is clean and modern, so it's quite good for couples actually. Haha. The above review is only from my point of view, so if you disagree with me, maybe we ordered different dishes/our tastes are just different! (:

Boy Schools

I had a chance to pick my brother up from school the other day, and honestly speaking, I haven't seen SO MANY boys in the same place at the same time in my entire LIFE.

I saw the littlest Primary 1 boys HOLDING HANDS with each other (uber cute!), as they snaked their way down the stairwell towards the canteen to have their lunch break. They all looked so tiny and innocent! Some of them were probably only 1.1m tall! I kept commenting to my maid that they were SO cute and I just wanted to pinch their cheeks! The older ones were less cute, but still adorable. Haha. Because they're more independent, you would see their heads bobbing up and down, looking for their parents/domestic maid to pick them up from school. Some just walked out of school with their friends.

It's just crazy to see the range of school bags they have! For the younger ones, there's still the usuals - Pokemon, Power Ranger, Bobdog, oh, and those oh-so-famous TROLLEY BAGS! HAHA!!!! I even saw one chubby boy dragging his trolley bag down as he walked down the stairs. It's super funny, I tell you. And for the older ones like Jonathan (omg I really don't think Jon is very old, but well, older than the rest of them since he's P6), there's CRUMPLER, Billabong, Quiksilver etc. I think I saw at least 5 with Crumpler bags. No wonder Jonathan wanted a Crumpler bag SO MUCH. These kids sure know how to appreciate branded goods.

I don't know how many of them were in the canteen! There were just hundreds and hundreds of them streaming in and out of the place! I must say that Catholic High Primary's intake is super huge lah. You could also smell the stench from all the BOYS. omgomgomg. Very stinky indeed. Imagine those boys playing soccer during recess, then perspire like pigs then go back to class again for the rest of the day. Man.... I can't imagine. Me in a mixed school for 4 years was enough man.

Back in MY days, my primary school had only 3-5 classes per standard. 97 graduated from my standard. That's how small the intake is. Haha.

All I can say is, I hope those Cat High boys won't come out from that school being some loser despos, so hated by so many people, especially those from mixed schools. Some of them act as if they haven't seen a girl before. Eew, GROSS!

'Hi, er, who are you?'

Been really busy these 2 weeks. So updates won't be as regular as before...

I like meeting up with people I haven't seen in a while, but sometimes, it would be better off not meeting old friends. Especially old flames. Hahahaha. I'm joking.

I know I've been away from Singapore for a whole 3 years, so some friends of mine eventually become acquaintances. Or just someone I see in Friendster who just added photos. (ROFL!) Honestly, every time when I'm out, I will tend to spot people whom I once knew. Somehow, something just held me back from saying 'Hi!' to them, just not sure what it is. I guess it's just the fear of them not being able to remember me.

Imagine this scenario: You see this friend you haven't seen in 4 years. This friend used to be really good friends with you when you were in the same secondary school. Somehow or other, you 2 lost contact but have each other's FRIENDSTER (haha, don't know why I had to bring that in. this shows how inefficient friendster actually is. it's just a medium for people to post their oh-so-pretty photos and oh you've been clubbing alot lately kinda photos. rofl). You 2 were like 10 metres away from each other, yet you had to pretend you didn't see him/her because of this stupid awful feeling that he/she won't be able to recognize you. But you have to admit that it'd be so embarrassing if your so called friend FORGETS YOUR NAME. Or maybe don't even recognize you because you've changed so much (like changing from specky to contacts, short to long hair, no make up to with make up, fit to flabby. whichever way you wanna put it.)

I think that's what I'm afraid of.

But I can't stand it!!!! You don't know how much I'd like to go up to them and say 'Hello! Remember me?' However, at the same time, I wouldn't wanna get a 'NO, crazy girl!' as an answer.

Tough, hoh?

Gees. I still think Friendster is not a very good way to keep in touch with your friends. But I still do enjoy looking at people's profile and testimonials and photos. Friendster-ing can get me laughing for nothing man. Seriously. How fun is that.

Another thing is that I lost some of my friends' contact numbers, and when they txt or call me, I'd be so paiseh cos I had to ask who they are... And 2 of my friends tried to be funny. 1 claimed to be a Bruce Li and pretended to hook me up (don't worry, he was too lousy lah. i exposed him almost right away. lol. find me someone who really has that name), and the other pretended to be another friend of mine whom I'm not very close with. Hurhurhur. Nvm, they're such entertainers, seriously. Oh, and I don't have caller ID either. So if you call my cell and I go 'Er, who are you ah?', DON'T BLAME ME PLEASE! I've been scolded several times already loh... Mum doesn't wanna pay $5 for my caller ID, so I'll have to make do without it.

That's what problems a student who studies overseas encounters. Or maybe just me.

Lost.

PLEASE tell me that I'm the most direction-less person in the WORLD. (I really hope Joan isn't reading this!!)

Today I met Joan and Shuo for dinner and shopping at Marina Square. Had dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. Honestly speaking, there is definitely a variety of food there - you can even get western meals and spagetti and baked rice there, but the food there to us was just so-so. In Cantonese (since we're in a HK cafe), ma3 ma1 dei2 lah~~~ (so-so in Cantonese. I think the 汉语拼音 is so right loh. HAHA). That's our review, so if you really like that place, then maybe we ordered different dishes! (: Oh, can I also add that a few of their staff members are actually people from Hong Kong?! The waitress who attended to us couldn't even understand what we were saying! I was speaking in perfect English, and she was like, "HUH.....?" plus a very blur looking expression. She needed a true Singaporean waiter to translate it into Canto for her before she could finish taking our orders. They need to be trained to understand our Singaporean accent! Hehe, that's just my suggestion.

Joan was talking to her sweetie, while Shuo and I just took some photos. Surprisingly, not many photos today! We had SO much to talk man.

After all the shopping (I BOUGHT 4 pairs of earrings for about $7!!!! Incredibly cheap man. Go to Fresh Profusion at Marina Square! 3 pairs for only $5!!), Joan went home by MRT, while lazy Shuo and I decided to take bus service 851 home since it stops directly in front of our houses. We found the bus stop going AWAY from our house, but the road was one way, so we didn't know where the opposite bus stop was. So we asked this lady at the bus stop, who appeared to be nice and friendly. We followed her directions and realised that there wasn't any bus 851! So we asked ANOTHER lady if she knew. She pointed to another direction and off the silly girls went. We found almost 4 bus stops, and NONE with 851. The closest we got was 857, which also goes to Yishun. Doesn't stop at my place, so we decided not to take it. And finally, we admitted defeat. WE WERE LOST. IN SINGAPORE. FOR A WHOLE HOUR.

By then, I was too tired to walk anymore. We walked all the way from City Hall MRT station, to Funan the IT mall, to SMU, to YWCA, to the National Museum, to Paradiz Centre, to Cathay Cineplex, to Plaza Singapura. We tried waiting for a taxi at the taxi stand outside Paradiz Centre, but all the taxis were ON CALL!!! Never mind... So we walked and walked and walked until my feet were KILLING me. We waited at PS taxi stand and finally got a cab! You don't know how HAPPY we were. Thank you Shuo for accompanying me. Yes, I know I wasted so much of your STUDY time (lol.), but friends stick with each other even when we're in trouble, like when we're lost right? Haha. If Joan reads this, we'd be laughingstocks!! FOR LIFE! Oh yeah, and I'm writing this in my blog. Right in front of so many other pairs of eyes. We're scarred, Shuo! Aiyah, never mind lah. Anyway, 我是出了名的 LOST GIRL! No one can ever beat me. Hur hur, so proud of it somemore.

Janice's poor slippers and huge sambal fish

Got HALVED! Damn, it was funny.

She managed to finish most of it. Great job, Janice.

Oldies.

Racial Harmony Day 2002

OLD PHOTOS, with OLD MEMORIES I hold tightly. I personally ADORE the last 2 photos. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Racial Harmony Day 2002. That's 4+ years ago.

I'm still happy to say that all of us are still very good friends. (: Go ad infinitum/eifer*07!

Grr.

NOTICE: RAMBLINGS ahead. (BEEP BEEP! Stop reading if you don't read RAMBLINGS, like B**j**n. -lizard noise- HAHAHAHAHAHA. Inside joke.)

I've been a SLOTH the whole week. (I tried looking for a nice picture of a sloth, but turns out all of them look AWFUL. So, being a sloth is bad.) Anytime soon you'll see Jessica the bouncing fishball because she'll grow fat and flabby and somehow have alot more 弹性 such that she can bounce really high. Hur hur hur.

The cousin outing today was slightly different, because we had our other cousin, Wei Lin with us! We had lunch at Fish n' Co @ Wheelock Place and Wei Lin ordered fish and chips which took the LONGEST to come. I bet they forgot about her order! They should've given her a complimentary drink or something mah, how rude. Oh, and did I mention about Janice's dish? So funny. She ordered sambal fish, and it turned out to be this gigantic fish with sambal sauce on top. So when her dish came we were all stunned. Hahaha. She managed it quite well with the help from Ning, so it was all gooood.

It's a pity Wei Lin had to leave halfway, and Janice leaving for work. The weather totally spoilt my shopping in TOWN again. Grr. Don't know why but I felt super tired today, so I had to take a cab home with Jon after that. OH, can I add that Ya Kun's barley drink is like DAMN good?! Wei, Tuck and Jon don't really like it, but Ning and I were like '!!!!'. It's different from the normal barley drink because they added something like beancurd skin inside. I really like it, you guys should go try it. Yeah, I also realised that the majority of us dislike the drink, BUT who cares? The both of us like it alot. Hahaha.

Talking about TOWN aka Orchard area, I'm getting real sick of that place cos' I went there almost every alternate day the past week! OMG, and the place I'm really sick of right now is TAKASHIMAYA and maybe WISMA, cos' those 2 are the only places I can go to via the underpass from the MRT station. The rain prevented me from going to places like Far East Plaza and Paragon and those other places lah. But, please, no more town for me for the next 2 weeks. I need new places to go to, like the extreme north (CAUSEWAY POINT!), south (SENTOSA!), east (TM!) and west (JURONG POINT!).

The dark clouds came back yet again! haterainhaterainhaterainhaterain. All the fans of the Korean artiste, Rain, would be plotting to kill me right now. I meant the rain falling from the clouds, so don't have to go all wild.

This coming week's gonna be so busy again. It's good being busy, but I can see the hole in my pocket burning even more. Burn like an eternal flame. OMG I'm so LAME someone please shut me up. My cousins would be thinking 'AS IFFFFFFFFFFFF' right now, BUT the money my parents gave me is just untouchable!! Grrrr. Mum didn't OFFICIALLY give me pocket money for the week again, and I don't feel like using the money Dad gave me cos I'm saving it for something else. Should I just use the rest of the money mummy gave me? TEMPTED. She'll kill me for that, so I better just use Dad's money first.. -sniff sniff- There goes my shopping money...

The birkies I've been wanting to spree with Stephie and Mel is STILL NOT HERE. I'm getting impatient..........

My primary school friend just invited me to her 21st birthday party! How cool is that?! We've known each other since Primary 1, so that's almost 14 years of friendship man. Can't wait to meet the usual clique again. It's been awhile, jaac. (:

I miss Ben. I hardly see him anymore. At most thrice a week. We used to see each other everyday and I don't ever get sick of him. ): When he goes into NS, I don't know who's gonna suffer more. I'll still be in NZ, while he stays in Singapore to serve the country. FOR 2 YEARS and maybe moreeee! LDRLDRLDR. I've heard both good and bad stuff about long distance relationships. Damn, the premature worrying started 12 months early. NOOOO.

P.S. Very random post, but you can't ask much from me at time 0040.

Say Ooh la la to DESSERTS again!

Bakerzin-ed last Friday! Yes, another good dessert place found. And again with Qi. (:

We ordered 3 tapas/sorbet (ONLY $9.80, please!) - Banana pizza with cinnamon ice cream (needed to boost my potassium! Haha), Mango passion sorbet (DAMN NICE), and Coupe Cheesecake (THE CRUMBS, omg..). We also ordered waffle with ice cream. We were filled to the BRIM by the time we finished our last mouths. Too much to indulge in? Definitely not. It's too good not to try, people.

All of them were very very good, except for the waffle.. A little burnt. But nevertheless, -all added to my favourites list already. Haha.

SUPER. GOOD.

The desserts.

My eyes got cut off cos of the collage. Hahaha.

Wanna see how good the desserts were?

Check out our animated pictures drawn by me. Hahaha. Still alot to improve. Not even 1% anime artist yet. :P

More facial expressions! Not bad, our facial muscles are working just fine. Hahaha.

Thanks for the evening, Qi! (:

I absolutely love the view from the top! Paragon's interior is very pretty.
