Eifer, Joan & Shuo, Japan Trip Day 1
I met up with 6/7 (including me) of Eifer on 13th Dec! This meet up was really funny. Chungie and Mel thought we would be celebrating Stephie and Thazin's birthdays that day, while Meiyi, Stephie (birthday girl), Thazin (another birthday girl) and I all thought that it was just a normal meet up! This meet up was originally suggested by Stephie and I, as I just came back from Melbourne.
In the end, while dining, Mel, Meiyi, Chungie and I were trying to communicate in Canto about what on earth was going on and what we were going to do, since Stephie and Thazin did not understand the language. Me, being the ultimate loser in Canto, had the most difficult time trying to express myself properly, while mixing Canto, Hokkien, Chinese and English all in 1 sentence. Yah, it is a skill, people. But in the end Stephie was like, "EHHH, I know what you guys are talking about lah!" Damn. LOL! So after our dinner at some ramen shop Chungie introduced to us (Chungie please remind me about the name of the ramen we had. it was really funny!), we went to Swensen's for some ice cream!
My apologies to Stephie and Thazin. TERRIBLY SORRY GIRLS! I know we haven't given you the perfect birthday outing... All because I'm as blur as a sotong. ): Oh well, we did enjoy ourselves didn't we?! Haha!
Stephie!! Please send me the photos in your camera k? Thanks a million, babes!
/ stephie with the ring / me with the ring / the hubby and 2nd mistress / us again / meiyi and i!! / mel stephie chungie and acbc me / mini earthquake! / birthday ice cream! / candid shot of dr. min /
Haha, about the ring. It belongs to Chungie! But it was so nice that I decided to be Chungie's 2nd mistress, after Stephie the wife and mel the 1st mistress! HAHA.
Joan & Shuo! (14/12/2005)
Finally met up with these 2 babes. Gosh, it's been a longgg time. We should do this often!
We had lunch at this particular cafe and it sucked. Shan't say the shop name, but it's in Cineleisure. -pukes- Joan's meal was horrible. I almost died drinking the soup too.
We watched The Descent and Shuo and I were screaming on top of our lungs! On the other hand, Joan was sitting calmly, absorbing everything she was watching. GOSH, that freak. The show is sooo freaking scary! I mean, it is a thriller, but those gross creatures were absolutely horrid!!!! 8 Days gave 4 stars out of 5 for this movie. GAWD, that's madness. After the show, I went home with Shuo, while Joan went to meet her friend, Titus.
Eh, you 2, we better have a meal @ Balcony soon ok?! I'm so gonna enjoy eating there lah! Haha!

JAPAN TRIP!!!
Honestly, I think Japan is MAGNIFICANT. If I am able to learn their language, I will want to stay there. The place is so cool, and even if you act cute there, no one cares, cos they all do too! Haha! What a great place for me! LOL.
Japan is so clean, even though there are few bins around. Japanese people are so friendly and polite. Their service is A grade, and it was definitely a pleasure to meet Japanese people.
Japan is really cold in winter. Being the lousy me (hahaha, go ahead and laugh, ben), I was wearing 4 layers of clothes plus a heat pack. And Jac my cousin was wearing 5 layers of clothes plus heat pack! Haha! We all had to constantly put moisturizer cos' our skin were getting dry then.
Jac left a comment on my blog saying she misses Japan. Oh please, count me in! I wanna go back there again!!!
Day 1 (16/12/2005)
In the morning, we visit the majestic Osaka Castle (admission to Castle’s Museum excluded). Visit Kobe Chinatown, locally known as “Nankin-machi” and Harbourland. Its Mosaic town with a big Ferris wheel and carousel, Mosaic Garden and restaurants, boutiques and movie theatres form an almost mosaic-like effect in this commercial park complex. In the evening, you are free to explore the shopping and eating paradise “Shinsaibashi” - famous for its neon lights and Dotombori. You can also roam the streets of Umeda and marvel at the spectacular city lights.** Selected departures to Universal Studios.

Melbourne Trip Part I
Day 1 (01/12/2005)
On this day, JetStar flew for the first time out of New Zealand into Australia! So, I was one of the first passengers to fly on JetStar from NZ! Yayy. (:
view from the plane window . big Jet Star sticker on my luggage . Jet Star plastic bag . departure times
My dearest Xueqi and HER dearest Jack came to pick me up! As I stepped out of Melbourne Airport, the warm air suddenly attacked me. Within the minute, I had difficulties breathing properly. The air was heavier than usual, and it was much warmer, like fifteen degrees warmer. Probably even more! We took a bus shuttle to a bus terminal before taking yet another shuttle directly to Jack’s place. No, not the restaurant, but Jack’s HOME. Xueqi and Jack helped me put my luggage at his place and I was introduced to his flatmate and also good friend, Andrew. He’s Singaporean too, and it was now that I realized that Melbourne is filled with Singaporeans, so unlike Dunedin. Tsk tsk.
Jack brought us to Crown Casino that night for buffet dinner!
xueqi and i at South Yarra River . funny jack . beeeautiful view .
Upon our arrival, we were invited by a long queue in front of the restaurant. Apparently this restaurant is famous for its food and of course, its reasonable price. While Jack was waiting for a seat, Xueqi and I toured around the building. Damn, there were eye catching, hunger stimulating (wth is that?! Haha!) cakes and pastries displayed outside of cafes, and pretty gowns on mannequins at boutiques. One of the places that we spent quite a bit of time at was Warner Brothers store. The thing about this store was that there were lots of Warner Brothers statues and models displayed outside the store, and all of these were bigger and taller than humans, at least for both Xueqi and I. We took some photos with these cute characters before Jack sent a message telling us that he got a seat for us.

I can’t exactly remember what the name of the restaurant was, but it could seat at least 300 people. There was a range of food there. Italian, Chinese, English cuisines all placed in front of us for tasting. We ate until we only had space for dessert, and Jack surprised Xueqi with a birthday cake! Aww, it was so sweet! Haha!
the sweetest couple . cutesy birthday cake . birthday girl with birthday cake . me xueqi jack . xueqi wishes for..? . siao zhabo-s . jack's uber tall can.. . YUMMY . all's gone! .
After our dinner, we went to have a look in the casino! Wow, I’ve never seen so much lighting and bling blings in one place in my entire life! The place was buzzing with people, both young and old. But as we passed by so many of these tables, I reckoned gambling is so random. It’s either you lose, or you win. It seriously depends merely on your luck. I see people surrendering their chips to the bankers, and continue playing for the sake of winning. If I were them, my heart would go ping pong piang! I doubt I would like to lose that much money in like 10 seconds. No way man.
black jack !
Halfway while walking around the casino, Xueqi suddenly felt like her contact lens on her right eye had rolled to the back of her eye!!! EEEPS! It was real scary, to me at least. She kept rolling her eyes down while pulling her eye lid up at the same time, and I had to look for any traces of the lens. Initially, I was frantic, cos’ I couldn’t see any lens in her eyes. I freaked out, while she was still calm and everything, cos’ this has happened to her before. I looked ever so closely in her eye, hoping to find any little trace of the contact lens. Somehow, at the corner of her eye, I suddenly saw something which looks folded and transparent. I shrieked and told her NOT TO MOVE HER EYE AT ALL. Then I took her fingers to the lens and she got it out. OMGGGGGGGG, I almost died of a heart attack. If she hadn’t gotten it out, she would have to go for an eye operation, which would be really scary. I told her it was her birthday, so nothing was going to go wrong that day. Hehe.
Day 2 (02/12/2005)
It was raining an hour before we left the house for Chadstone Street. Jack was worried that we could not find the place, so he took the train with us to Oakleigh train station, led us to the bus stop before leaving for school.
jack da man and xueqi . train map . parliament station . jack and i .
We could take 802, 804 or 862 to Chadstone Shopping Mall, and within minutes, bus 802 arrived and we boarded it. As usual, we were camera whoring in the bus, but not too much. Haha!
cold and tired xueqi . crazy us . us again . raining . 'macho' me . our smelly feet . ki ki wi wi on qi's bag . my blurred pic . getting all brave .
Jack told us to stop when we saw Coles supermarket, and so we did. We first went into Darryl Lea chocolate store, a store that Jack had introduced to us for it’s delicious chocolates. The mall is GIGANTIC! We spent almost a whole day there, and we didn’t finish shopping! There were only 2 storeys in the shopping mall, so it’s hard to believe how wide the mall is.
Yummy pastries in Melbourne! mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
The day passed as quick as it arrived, and we had our dinner at Mekong, a very famous Vietnamese restaurant in Melbourne Central. Stars like Bill Clinton and Jacky Chan have come to this restaurant for their meals, and I must say that their soup is yummy! Price wise was alright, not too expensive. Surprisingly, even though it was a Vietnamese restaurant, it was showing Dae Jang Geum on TV! It somehow reminded me how fast Ben’s family and I managed to finish the whole series of Dae Jang Geum. Damn! I really like the story line, even though it’s so long.
mekong . jack pouring water . candid shot of me speaking to jack . 'president Bill Clinton had 2 bowls. how many can you have...' .
Our favourite hobby - photo whoring
We walked through Melbourne’s very own China town to go back to Jack’s. We went into an Asian grocery, and it was so much bigger than Fu Le back in Dunedin. They’ve got more stuff, and they’ve got KANG KONG!! At that minute, we decided to cook dinner at home the next day. So we got some of the groceries and walked home. Although the rain had stopped, it was still cold. I wondered what the temperature was, as I myself felt chilly as well. I thought whether I had lost my elephant skin that I had brutally trained back in New Zealand. If I did, Ben would definitely be ‘tsk tsk-ing’ me by now, and of course laughing at me for my incapability for standing the cold. Bleah.
Andrew was home when we reached home. He showed me a DVD cover of The Simpsons Season 4 and the cover was so cute! In it there were really cute and funny stuff with Homer and of course, the other Simpsons. We watched a few of the episodes before I felt really drowsy and ‘K.O-ed’ like how Jack said.the DVD cover of HOMER !

Gosh.
Hehe.
I've been enjoying myself ever since holidays started! I don't have the time to blog, except for now.
My Melbourne trip has been such a great trip! I'm definitely going back there another time. Am in Ben's place now, so I'm not able to blog much about the trip. Anyway, a summary of my trip to Melbourne can also be read from Xueqi's blog. Whaha. This silly girl is still there, with her keung zai (emphasises on the word 'keung'. must sound canto enough. HAHA!). We've shopped all around Melb already, little tiger girl has to do some sight seeing for now! Damn, I want to visit the Great Ocean, Philip Island etc tooooo. I haven't done much sight seeing yet, only a few. Anyhow, I'll blog about it real soon, er, probably after I come back from Japan, cos' I'm REALLY busy these few days. Meeting up with so many people, doing all the things that I can't do back in Dunny. I'm lurvvving this kinda lifestyle. Woo wee!
The reason why I have time to blog now is because poor little Ben has just got his wisdom tooth plucked out. So I decided to accompany him for the day, before going to meet Eiferians for dinner. Yahooooo! THAZIN IS BLANJAH-ING US TONIGHT!! This girl has just got an offer to do Medicine next year! Yay! Good on her, and also for us! LOL.
Things to blog about when I come back from Japan:
- Melbourne Trip (9 days of funnn!)
- Cousin Outing (we never miss this.)
- Family Dinner (JUMBOOO)
- Eifer meet up (Congrats Dr. Min!)
- ACJC gurls meet up (JING CHENG WUUUUUUU! We're gonna watch Perhaps Love tmr!)
- Japan Trip (Tokyo and Osaka, here we come!)
Yup, I think that's tentatively the list of what to blog on.
I watched Saw II with Ben yesterday. Ben rated it 5 or 4 out of 10. One reason is because the ending is stooopid. Damn, it really spoilt the whole show man. Gees. But I definitely ate my SWEET POPCORN! We don't have that in Dunedin, so it's worth buying a regular popcorn for a movie aye?
Went to do my nails and shaped my eye brows yesterday. Was going to cut my hair with Ben and Josephine yesterday, but decided to do it some other time. My nails are so pretty now! Haha! Did French mani yesterday. So now my nails and prim and clean. I'm loving it. Tee hee.
Changes that I've seen in Singapore since early July:
- Where is our Far East Plaza fountain!? It's gone!
- My dummie puppy AJ has fur as long as a sheep which hasn't been shaven before!
- Food Republic in Wisma Atria! It's crazy down there. So many people!
- Since when did SAJC move next to SASS?
- Since when did GMSS move to the old venue of VS?
- Orchard Road is yet again decorated with Christmas lightings!
Actually the list can go on, but I haven't visited much of Singapore yet, so I can't say much. I just know I need to explore Singapore once more. But before that, JAPAN! HERE WE COME!!!

MONASH!
Not much to say about this uni, cos' I'm too lazy to walk around.. Tee hee. Xueqi and I are just waiting for Jack and Andrew to finish their classes, then go to Lygon Street for some FERRERO ROCHER ICE CREAM and DINE AT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT. Okay, I'm getting all excited and everything. Isn't Melbourne fun? Damn, super jealous of all you guys who study/live in Melbourne. This place is a paradise man! I don't know much of Monash University, but there are certainly LOADS of Asians, I tell you.I'm at the Campus Centre in the university. Before coming to the computer lab, Xueqi and I went to find something to eat, cos' we didn't have lunch today. When we walked into the canteen, Xueqi recognized one of Jack's friends and asked him for some recommendation of good food in the canteen. He said the beef brisket noodle soup is not bad, so we tried that. Not bad not bad. Haha.
I'm MSN-ing Ben. Aww, I miss him! Getting all excited cos' I can see him tomorrow! Woo weee! -blushes- These 9 days have been fun, but it would probably be even better with him around. Alrite, I'll go blug surfing now.
MELBOURNE IS FUN FUN FUN!

HOHOHO
Jessica is now in Melbourne, Australia. -hides at the corner and sniggers- This plce is UBER FUN man! Those who super love shopping, I do recommend you to come here to shop till you drop! The weather is wonderful too, in the middle of cold Dunedin and hot Singapore. Just nice, just nice. Lovely, busy place. I emailed my mum to tell her my wellbeing, and also added that luckily she didn't bring me here to study, because there is so much shopping to do, and so many distractions. I tell you, I'll definitely give her 5 Fs if I were to study here.
Okay, Xueqi and I have definitely took LOADS AND LOADS of photos! Woowee! I will blog properly when I get my ass back in Singapore, that is, 2 days later. I'm gonna miss Melbourne sooo much. ):
